Introduction of Yung Kien Plant

n ancient China, only the nobility and members of the imperial family were considered qualified to take Lingzhi as a tonic medicine. While the common people searched for Lingzhi in the wild mountains, only a fortunate few managed to find wild Lingzhi that still possessed medicinal efficacy and was not poisonous or hardened. Nowadays, skilled professionals at the Shuang Hor Group's Yung Kien plant use high-tech equipment to produce highly potent Lingzhi in large quantities under controlled conditions. Today's health-concious people no longer have to rely on luck or social standing to be able to enjoy the gift of Lingzhi.

      Located in Yanshui Town in southern Taiwan's Tainan County, the Shuang Hor Group's Yung Kien plant is the largest and most up-to-date specialized Lingzhi manufacturing facility in the world. Founded in February 1993, this plant occupies more than 48,000m2 and consists of a main building (includes production room, Bio-Tech Research & Development Center, Ganoderma Museum, administrative center, and employee cafeteria), a secondary building (includes Lingzhi culture center, indoor experimental farm, and warehouse), a multimedia theater, an employee dormitory, and a basketball court, etc.

      The Yung Kien plant meets R.O.C. GMP Grade A design standards, which specify the building materials, partition types, and production processes, and ensure that the plant is completely free of dust and temperature-and-humidity-controlled. All operating personnel must change their clothing and shoes, and get cleaned and disinfected, before entering the facility. The Yung Kien plant enjoys an excellent reputation and is known internationally not just as a Lingzhi culture facility, but also as a Lingzhi research and breeding center (the Shuang Hor Group's Lingzhi farm is located in Paiho Town, Tainan County). Production and packaging tasks are integrated and computerized, leaving no room for error from raw material input to completion of finished products. Absolute standards of safety and sanitation are maintained. The Yung Kien plant was thus able to pass ISO-9002 international quality certification in 1998 (certificate No. BVQI45318), and upgraded certification to ISO-9001 in 2001. Yung Kien's ISO-9001 certification (2000 edition; certificate No. 79525) embodies the strictest review standards yet issued and offers ample proof that the Yung Kien plant is a world-class manufacture of Lingzhi and health food products.

      As far as technology is concerned, the Yung Kien plant has consistently sought to meet the highest international quality standards. Internationally, quality control requirements are typically graded as the levels of QI, SQC, TQC, and TQA. Since the time it was established, the Yung Kien plant has always incorporated the TQA (Total Quality Assurance) concept into all its operations. Therefore, Yung Kien Pant and its Supreme Linzhi production line won the first certificate of Food GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) in Lingzhi item authorized by the Industrial Development Bureau of Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C. in 2002 as a proof of guaranteed quality. It's not surprising that all Shuang Hor products have won such widespread acceptance in Taiwan and abroad for their superior and consistent quality.
